Energean secures gas offtake deal for offshore Israel fields

Energean Israel has signed two agreements with Dalia Power Energies and its sister company Or Power Energies for the supply of natural gas from the Karish and Tanin fields offshore Israel.

ATHENS, Greece – Energean Israel has signed two agreements with Dalia Power Energies and its sister company Or Power Energies for the supply of natural gas from the Karish and Tanin fields offshore Israel.

Dalia and Or will use some of the supplies to operate the Dalia power plant, the largest private power station in Tzafit, south-central Israel, and future power plants to be built by Or.

Energean will supply the purchasers with up to 23 bcm (812 bcf) from theKarish-Tanin reservoirs over the lifetime of the contracts, starting from the date natural gas flows in commercial volumes.

The Take or Pay arrangement is at a price linked to Israeli electricity markets and underpinned by a floor price.
