LARNACA, Cyprus – Prosafe’s accommodation semisubmersible Safe Zephyrus is laid up in the UK after completing a contract with Aker BP offshore Norway.
As for the company’s other support rigs, theSafe NotosandSafe Concordia are both working for Petrobras off Brazil.
TheSafe Scandinavia, a tender support vessel, is contracted to Statoil until July 2018.
TheSafe Caledonia is undergoing a five-year special periodic survey before starting a 134-day (plus 30-day optional) contract with Total in UK waters in mid-May.
TheRegalia, Safe Bristolia, and Safe Astoria are respectively laid up in the UK, Norway, and Indonesia. The Safe Regency, laid up in Curaçao, will be sold for scrap, as was the case with the Safe Lancia in March.
TheSafe Eurus remains in a preserved, strategic stacking mode with COSCO (Qidong) Offshore in China. Negotiations continue with COSCO and other parties on a commercial solution for the Safe Novaand Safe Vega - if no agreement is reached, Prosafe has the right to claim cancellation of the newbuild contracts.
