OSLO, Norway – TMC Compressors has completed delivery of a marine compressed air system to BW Offshore’s Catcher FPSO.
BW Offshore will operate the FPSO under contract toPremier Oil at its Catcher oil field in the UK central North Sea. The floater has a processing capacity of 60,000 b/d and a storage capacity of 650,000 bbl.
The Catcher Area development, 180 km (112 mi) east of Aberdeen, includes the Catcher, Varadero, and Burgman oil and gas fields.
TMC supplied a compressed air system comprising three 185-kW instrument/service air compressors and two instrument/service adsorption air dryers.
