Offshore staff
HOUSTON – McDermott has provided an update on its offshore construction activities in the Middle East.
Work on theSaudi Aramco Lump Sum LTA II project, awarded in 2015, is in the fabrication phase, shared between the McDermott’s Jebel Ali and Dammam facilities.
One Middle East customer has also approved a work share on one project that involves fabrication of jackets at the company’s yard in Batam, Indonesia.
The KJO Hout jacket and topsides will be installed and pre-commissioned during the current quarter. Currently the project is more than 55% complete and should be finished during 2Q.
ThreeSaudi Aramco jobs awarded during 2Q 2016 are in the preliminary stages of fabrication, with activity expected to ramp up this year.
Fabrication and installation has been completed of theBul Hanine jackets off Qatar, with minor closeout work remaining.
Also inQatar, offshore work for the RasGas flow assurance and looping project remains on schedule.
McDermott has started the offshore phase of the deepwaterVashishta project off eastern India for ONGC, mobilizing the DB30 and supporting fleet.
Fabrication of the subsea structures continues atconsortium partner Larsen & Toubro’s yard in Kattupalli.
McDermott’s mobile spoolbase has been set up and production of the pipeline stalks has progressed in preparation for the arrival of theNO 105, which will install the deepwater pipeline sections.
As for Brunei Shell Petroleum’s transportation and installation project, pre-installation survey for the pipelines was completed late last year.
At Batam, fabrication and loadout has been completed of the subsea modules commissioned by TechnipFMC for Eni’s Jangkrik project offshore Indonesia. Total weight of the structures is around 3,100 metric tons (3,417 tons).
