STRAUME, NorwayWintershall has agreed to adopt AGR’s well data management and analysis software tool iQ for its Maria field development in the Norwegian Sea.

Others using the software are VNG, Lundin, OMV,Aker BP, and LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf.

iQ is designed to optimize well performance and drilling management by providing a data and knowledge management platform.

According to AGR, the constantly updated system provides access to automatically structured and quality-checked well data for all publically available wells on theNorwegian continental shelf, and from more than 78,000 well locations worldwide.

It currently comprises three modules – experiences, offset data, TIME and GEO to display and analyze data from the drilling rig.

Petter Mathisen, vice president of Software Solutions at AGR, said: “Our developers and the dedicated team at Wintershall will look into transferring the logging and drilling data to our platform and create working processes that will push the digitalization of well data management within the organization.

Recently AGR Software entered into an alliance with Norwegian technology contractors to drivedigitalization of the oil and gas industry. This will lead to an extended version of iQx, enabling automated execution of end of well reports.
