Noble makes contingencies for Leviathan production drilling

HOUSTON – Noble Energy’s budget for this year includes capex for the initial development of the deepwater Leviathan gas fieldoffshore Israel.

The company has budgeted for one production well, long-lead items, and ramp-up of construction activities, and for completion of a new producer well at theTamar field, drilled during 4Q 2016.

Noble bid successfully for a non-operated interest in four exploration parcels offshore Newfoundland, Canada, the net position covering nearly 700,000 acres in the Labrador Sea.

It expects to focus on seismic acquisition and evaluation over these areas during the next three to five years.
