DOHA, QatarQatar Petroleum is part of a consortium looking to develop an LNG import project in Pakistan.

This would involve installation of afloating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) and associated jetty and pipeline to send the gas to the Pakistan shore.

The FSRU, which has already been committed, would have a planned minimum regasification capacity of 750 MMcf/d by 2018.

Others in the consortium are ExxonMobil, Mitsubishi, Total, and LNG specialist Höegh.
