Water deoxygenation system completed for Egina FPSO

Minox Technology has delivered two water deaeration skids to Total’s Egina FPSO, due to start operating next year in the Gulf of Guinea offshore Nigeria.

LYSAKER, Norway – Minox Technology has delivered two water deaeration skids to Total’s Egina FPSO, due to start operating next year in the Gulf of Guinea offshore Nigeria.

The modules were built at the ROS fabrication yard in Singapore.Samsung Heavy Industries will transport the skids to Nigeria for integration into the FPSO’s water injection module.

The skids have a capacity to handle 500,000 b/d of water.

Total and Samsung commissioned the chemical-free, deoxygenation system in 2014.
