CNOOC starts up coordinated Enping offshore oil field project

CNOOC has started production from the Enping 23-1 oilfields in the Pearl River Mouth basin of the South China Sea.

HONG KONG – CNOOC has started production from the Enping 23-1 oilfields in the Pearl River Mouth basin of the South China Sea.
Average water depth is around 90 m (295 ft).
The development, which is connected to existing Enping 24-2 infrastructure, was coordinated with programs at the Enping 23-2, Enping 23-7, andEnping 18-1 oil fields.
The main production facilities for Enping 23-1, Enping 23-2 and Enping 23-7 include one platform and 13 producing wells. Currently three wells are in service, producing around 5,600 b/d of crude oil.
Production should ramp up steadily, reaching peak output of 24,800 b/d in 2018.
