PARADIS, Norway – Forland Subsea has reached a temporary agreement with EMAS AMC under which the Lewek Inspector vessel will complete a project offshore Congo, probably in January.
EMAS AMC chartered the vessel from Forland, a subsidiary of Frode Bjørn, but defaulted on a payment of the charter hire which was due on Nov. 30.
During a meeting between representatives of the parties last week, EMAS AMC told Forland it could not settle the outstanding charter hire for the time being, due to financial distress.
