ABERDEEN, UK – The VNG-led partnership in license PL586 in the Norwegian Sea has opted for a subsea tieback to the Njord complex as the preferred development concept for the Pil and Bue oil discoveries.
The partners plan to mature this solution through front-end engineering and design followed by submission of a formal field development plan.
TheNjord production semisubmersible is currently in Kvaerner’s Stord yard in western Norway undergoing extensive modifications to extend its operating life and to also accommodate various satellite tiebacks in the area, aside from Pil and Bue.
