Farstad lands charters offshore Brazil, Egypt

Farstad Shipping ASA has announced several charter contracts.

AALESUND, Norway – Farstad Shipping ASA has announced several charter contracts.

Petrobras has extended the contract for the multi-purpose supply vessel (MPSV)Far Swift for another year in direct continuation with the present contract until October 2017.

The vessel will continue to deliver air diving and ROV services in cooperation with Fugro Brasil on the Brazilian continental shelf.Far Swift is a 2003-build of the UT 755 L design.  

Shell Brasil Petroleo has awarded the 1999-build PSVFar Star a two-year contract for the support of the company’s production activities offshore Brazil. Commencement will take place by the end of 2016, and Shell has the option to extend the contract on the UT-745-design vessel for an additional two years.  

Saipem SA has awarded two PSVs, the 1995-buildFar Service and the 1996-build Far Supporter six months of contracts (including mobilization) to support activity on the Zohr development project offshore Egypt. Work is expected to begin next month. Saipem has option to extend the contracts for another 30 days. Far Service is of the UT 745 design, and Far Supporter is of the UT 750 design.

The commercial terms of the agreements will be kept private and confidential between the parties.
