EnerMech managing crane services at Al Shaheen offshore Qatar

EnerMech has won contracts related to crane maintenance on platforms in the Middle East and Caspian Sea.

ABERDEEN, UKEnerMech has won contracts related to crane maintenance on platforms in the Middle East and Caspian Sea.

Offshore Qatar, EnerMech has been named exclusive provider of crane maintenance services to theAl Shaheen field.

In addition, the contractor will provide process, pipeline, umbilicals, valves inspection and repair, hydraulics, and training services.

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) has renewed a contract with EnerMech by up to a further five years. This includes provision of crane operations, maintenance, and inspection services for 16 offshore pedestal cranes and two new platforms on theShah Deniz 2 project in the Azeri sector.

EnerMech has also undertaken to employ an Azeri-only workforce for the contract term.

Elsewhere, the company has secured a three-year deal to provide crane operation and maintenance services to Daewoo International E&P on theShwe gas field in the Bay of Bengal, offshore Myanmar.

In the UK North Sea, Nexen Petroleum U.K. has awarded the company a five-year crane operation and maintenance contract covering the Buzzard, Scott, and Golden Eagle platforms.
