Aker BP has awarded IKM Cleandrill a three-year frame agreement for riserless closed loop mud recovery services.

SOLA, Norway – Aker BP has awarded IKM Cleandrill a three-year frame agreement for riserless closed loop mud recovery services.
Initial operations will be production well drilling on theAlvheim development in the North Sea from the semisubmersible Transocean Arctic, with potential for support of additional exploration and development drilling.
IKM Cleandrill will provide MRR mud recovery systems, which it describes as the latest generation of mud recovery equipment. It will offer both shallow and deepwater versions to suit Aker BP’s requirements, with the installation of the MRR system on the rig anticipated in early 2017.
