Petrobras, Galp pursue further joint opportunities

Petrobras and Galp Energia have signed a memorandum of understanding to broaden their cooperation.

RIO DE JANEIROPetrobras and Galp Energia have signed a memorandum of understanding to broaden their cooperation.

They will consider joint ventures in oil and gas exploration, production and infrastructure development, both inBrazil and elsewhere.

The MOU extends to a joint training and research programs for technical education and research with a focus on deepwater carbonate reservoirs.

The two companies have built partnerships and have participated in several major discoveries over the past decade. One is theLula field, the biggest current development in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.
