PARIS – DEA Norge has awarded Technip an EPCI contract for the subsea development of the Dvalin field in the Norwegian Sea.
Development calls for a tieback from a new four-slot template to the Heidrun platform through a 15-km (9.3-mi) long pipe-in-pipe production line.
The project will also connect gas exports from Heidrun to the recently laidPolarled gas transport pipeline through a new 7.5-km (4.7-mi) pipeline.
Technip will handle engineering, procurement, and installation of the pipelines, spools, riser bases and pipeline end modules, and will also perform installation of a control umbilical between Heidrun and theDvalin template.
Offshore installation will occur during 2018 and 2019, using the reel lay vesselsDeep Energy for pipelay and North Sea Atlantic for umbilical installation.
Technip Norge will manage the program from Lysaker, with pipe fabrication performed at the company’s Orkanger spoolbase.
