LONDON – Rockhopper says engagement is progressing with drilling and logistics service providers for the Premier-operated Sea Lion development north of the Falkland Islands.

A range of innovative commercial and contractual arrangements are under discussion. Tender packages for these services will likely be prepared by year-end.

The partners are targeting further cost savings as front-end engineering and design continues.

Recently, the Secretary of State for the Falkland Islands government granted an extension of the license for the Sea Lion Discovery Area to April 2020.
