Eni confirmed as operator of offshore Montenegro licenses

SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Eni has signed a concession contract with the government of Montenegro concerning exploration of four offshore blocks, which span a total area of 1,228 sq km (474 sq mi).

All were awarded under the country’sfirst international competitive bid round.

Eni will operate licenses 4118-4, 4118-5, 4118-9, and 4118-10 with a 50% interest, the remainder held by OAO NOVATEK.
