Maersk Drilling’s latest jackup Maersk Highlander has undergone a naming ceremony in northeast Scotland.

INVERGORDON, UK – Maersk Drilling’s latest jackup Maersk Highlander has undergone a naming ceremony in northeast Scotland.
The rig will soon start development drilling at the Maersk Oil-operatedCulzean gas field in the UK central North Sea.
The 400-ft (122-m), harsh-environment jackup has been at the Port of Cromarty Firth in Invergordon since it was transported from the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore.
Maersk Drilling acquired the rig from a subsidiary of Hercules Offshore prior to delivery from the yard.
