Offshore staff
SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands – Huisman has won contracts to supply cranes for offshore and other vessels with a total value of around €300 million ($339 million).
All will be built at Huisman’s facilities in the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and China, with deliveries scheduled between end-2017 and 2019.
Two are 900-metric ton (992-ton) heavy-lift mast cranes for BigLift Shipping’s newbuild Happy S-type vesselHappy Sun.
ForOOS International’s two new semisubmersible accommodation crane vessels, Huisman will supply two sets of 2,200-metric ton (2,425-ton) offshore mast cranes with a deepwater auxiliary hoist system and two telescopic access bridges.
The 3,000-metric ton (3,307-ton) offshore mast crane forBoskalis will be installed onboard one of its existing F-class heavy transport vessels, which will be converted into an offshore transport and installation crane vessel.
Finally, the 5,000-metric ton (5,511-ton) tub mounted crane for Allseas will be installed onboard thePioneering Spirit. The crane design is based on the use of a 20-m (65.6-ft) dia. slew bearing, also designed and manufactured by Huisman.
