HOUSTON – McDermott International’s Altamira facility in Mexico has resumed work on the Ayatsil C project, which was previously suspended by PEMEX to allow for assessment of the overall Ayatsil field infrastructure sequencing needs.
Fabrication of the 7,500-ton jacket should now be completed this month, with theDB 50 vessel set to install the facility in 4Q.
Recently the company won a contract to provide a platform to provide replacement and expansion capabilities to the existingKu-Maloob-Zaap, Cantarell and Ayatsil facilities in the Bay of Campeche.
Offshore Malaysia, McDermott’sDerrick Barge 30 has completed the Hess Bergading project, which involved installation of a large processing facility jacket and a wellhead platform jacket and topsides.
