LONDON – Chariot Oil and Gas expects operator Eni to drill a first well next year on the Rabat Deep license offshore Morocco.
The RD-1 well will target the JP-1 prospect: other partners are Woodside and Moroccan state oil company ONHYM.
Recently Chariot secured operatorship of an exploration permit over the adjacent offshoreMohammedia license. Here it plans 2D and 3D seismic programs to enhance the description of the JP-2 and LKP targets in this acreage.
A successful result from the RD-1 well could help de-risk the prospects on the Mohammedia license, the company adds.
