Det norske links more wells to North Sea Alvheim floater

TRONDHEIM, Norway – Production has started from the tri-lateral BoaKamNorth well in the Norwegian North Sea, according to operator Det norske oljeselskap.
The well is connected to infrastructure linked to the Alvheim area FPSO.
Drilling of further wells for the Viper-Kobra tieback was completed last month.
In the Utsira High region of the North Sea, development drilling at Det norske’s Ivar Aasen field is ahead of schedule, with five oil producer and three water injector wells finalized.
The topside modules should be installed at the field location later this month, likewise the living quarter module.
Pre-drilling at Johan Sverdrup, in which the company is a partner, is progressing according to plan, along with construction of the platform jackets, topsides, subsea facilities, pipelines and power from shore facilities.
The partners have completed a debottlenecking study that should lead to an increase in phase one production capacity to 440,000 boe/d.
