SINGAPORE – Woodside has awarded Aibel Pte Ltd. a contract for modifications on the Nguijma-Yin FPSO offshore Western Australia.
The FPSO will undergo modifications to the topsides, hull, and turret, Aibel says, along with installation of a new custom water flood module. The contract includes both detailed marine and topsides engineering and procurement services as well as commissioning services.
The contract is expected to begin this month and is presently targeted to be completed in January 2019. The company was also contracted in September for a front-end engineering and design contract involving the FPSO’ssubsea tiebacks.
The work will be executed by Aibel’s office in Singapore.
Greater Enfield is located 60 km (37 mi) off Exmouth in Western Australia. The reserves in the area will be produced via a 31-km (19-mi) subsea tieback to the Ngujima-Yin FPSO, located over the Vincent oil field.
