Offshore staff
HOUSTON – The US offshore drilling rig count is 21, down three rigs from last week, and down six rigs year over year, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of June 3, 2016.
TheUS Gulf of Mexicorig count was also down, falling to 20 units, according to the report.
The overall US rig count, onshore and offshore, was up four week-over-week at 408, with oil rigs up nine at 325, gas rigs down five to 82, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at one.
Compared to this time last year, the overall US rig count is down 460 rigs, with oil rigs down 317, gas rigs down 140, and miscellaneous rigs down three.
