Technip calls on Solstad fleet for North Sea trenching

Solstad Offshore has a frame agreement with Technip Norge and Technip UK to provide vessels for trenching, construction, and subsea services.

SKUDENESHAVN, Norway – Solstad Offshore (SOFF) has a frame agreement with Technip Norge and Technip UK to provide vessels for trenching, construction, and subsea services.
Under the agreement, which runs through 2018,Technip can use SOFF’s Normand Progress, Normand Pioneer, Normand Ranger, and Normand Marinervessels.
SBM Offshore has chartered various of the company’s vessels to tow the newbuildGlen LyonFPSO from Haugesund to its final location west of Shetland for BP’s Quad204 redevelopment.
SOFF has an additional agreement with BP for theNormand Prosper and Normand Ranger to perform heading control of the FPSO during the installation period.
