KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – SapuraKencana Energy Sarawak has signed an upstream gas sales agreement for the B15 gas field offshore East Malaysia with buyer Petronas.
SKE operates the surrounding block SK310 PSC, where Petronas is also a partner along with Mitsubishi subsidiary Diamond Energy Sarawak.
B15, discovered in December 2010, will be developed with a central processing platform and a 35-km (21.7-mi) gas export pipeline that will be tied into existing infrastructure. Production will head to the Malaysia liquefied natural gas (MLNG) complex in Bintulu, Sarawak, with deliveries scheduled to start during 4Q 2017.
