OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Faroe Petroleum Norge to drill an appraisal well in license PL 740 in the North Sea.
The semisubmersibleTransocean Arctic will drill well 31/7-1.
PL740, awarded in February 2014, comprises parts of blocks 31/7 and 30/9 and is near theBrage and Oseberg fields.
