BANGKOK, Thailand – PTTEP has issued a progress report on its E&P activities offshore Myanmar.
At theZawtika project, construction of four wellhead platforms has been completed and production wells for Phase 1B are undergoing preparation.
The Myanmar M3 joint venture is assessing prospects for commerciality and the resource potential in the remaining area.
Myanmar’s government has approved an extension of the exploration period for the PSC G and EP2 project to give the partners more time to conduct geological studies and assess petroleum potential.
The MD-7 and MD-8 concessions also have secured extensions and a 3D seismic survey is under way.
Finally, at the MOGE project preparations are under way for 2D and 3D seismic surveys.
