ABERDEEN, UK – Apache has contracted Proserv to supply a subsea control system and associated topsides and subsea interface equipment.

These will be use on the new wells for theCallater (ex-Prospect K) field development south of the Beryl Alpha platform in the UK central North Sea. The company’s team in Great Yarmouth, eastern England, will design and manufacture the equipment.

Proserv will deliver four subsea control modules with standard interfaces to provide compatible support for earlier generations of subsea controls equipment and to facilitate future link-ups with other existing field assets in the surrounding area.

This, the company claims, will provide Apache with flexibility to extend field life in the future without affecting the existing subsea control systems.

Previously Proserv supplied subsea control modules and other services for Apache’s Bacchus and Aviat extension wells at theForties complex.
