Weatherford, Exceed enter well decommissioning partnership

Well management/performance improvement specialist Exceed has formed an alliance with Weatherford.

ABERDEEN, UK – Well management/performance improvement specialist Exceed has formed an alliance with Weatherford.

The two companies will offer an “end-to-end” solution forwell decommissioning via an integrated team combining technical and commercial capabilities.

Weatherford brings global P&A experience, field proven tools, and technology. Exceed is working on a contract in the UK northern North Sea to P&A 45 platform wells and 16 subsea wells forFairfield Energy.

Exceed says the alliance can develop flexible commercial models tailored to client requirements, providing cost savings through bulk purchases, shared equipment and resources, and improved safety and operational performance via an incentivised approach.

The collaboration could be extended to bring in further partners to create a project-wide EPC service. The two companies have already established global agreements with various service providers to expand their portfolio when needed.
