HOUSTON – The US Gulf of Mexico rig count has fallen to 25, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of April 22, 2016.
That number is a decrease of two (from 27) compared to the company’sweekly rig count of April 15, 2016, and is down eight rigs year over year (from 33).
The overall US rig count, including offshore and onshore, is down by nine rigs from last week to 431, with oil rigs down eight to 343, and gas rigs down one to 88.
The overall US rig count is down 501 rigs from last year at 932, with oil rigs down 360, gas rigs down 137, and miscellaneous rigs down four.
