Offshore staff
LIMASSOL, Cyprus – The newbuild Category D semisubmersibleSonga Encouragehas started an eight-year drilling contract with Statoil on the Norwegian continental shelf.
According to owner Songa Offshore, the rig is now on operational day rate and working at theSkuld field in the North Sea.
This is the third of four Cat D rigs that Statoil commissioned from the contractor.
