NEW YORK – Drilling has started on the deepwater Liza #2 appraisal well in the ExxonMobil-operated Stabroek block off Guyana, according to partner Hess.
Earlier this year, acquisition of a 17,000-sq km 96,654-sq mi)3D seismic survey was completed over the block.
In the North Malay basin (Hess 50%), six of the 11 planned wells for the Phase 1 development have been completed.
The full field development is progressing toward first gas in 2017.
