Under the five-year contract, ABB will deliver motors, generators, variable-speed drives, and low-voltage switchgear. In addition, the company will provide service and lifecycle management of this equipment and support for motors from third-party vendors.
This will involve building a spare parts inventory, undertaking workshop repairs, training and offering round-the-clock technical support remotely and on-site.
The electrical system will power 14 gas plant modules for the 488-m (1,601-ft) long, 74-m (243-ft) wide vessel, helping it to produce 5.3 MM tons/yr of liquids.
