Tullow close to completing well offshore Suriname

LONDONTullow Oil expects to issue results from the Spari-1 exploration well offshore Suriname next month. Drilling started in May.

Offshore Jamaica, the company says a bathymetry survey has been completed over itsWalton and Mourant blocks. Results indicate possible seeps, which are currently under investigation using cores.

At the end of April, Tullow completed the sale of its operated and non-operated interests in the L12/15 area and blocks Q4 and Q5 in the Dutch North Sea to AU Energy for €64 million ($71 million). Associated production was around 1,500 boe/d.

Last month the company also sold its 30% stakes inDutch North Sea exploration licences E10, E11 (including Tullow’s Vincent discovery), E14, E15c, and E18b to GDF Suez E&P Nederland. As a result, Tullow no longer holds any operated licenses offshore the UK or the Netherlands.
