SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Eni and its partners in the Jangkrik development project offshore Indonesia have signed sales and purchase agreements for associated LNG with PT Pertamina (Persero).
Pertamina will purchase 1.4 million metric tons/yr (1.54 million tons/yr) of LNG starting from 2017
The project takes in the Jangkrik and Jangkrik Northeast fields in 400 m (1,312 ft) of water in the Muara Bakau block in the Makassar Strait, 100 km (62 mi) east of Balikpapan.
Eni operates in partnership with Engie (ex-GDF Suez) and Saka Energi Muara Bakau.
Development involves drilling production wells linked to afloating production unit for gas and condensate treatment, and laying a subsea pipeline to export production to the Bontag Terminal. Production is expected to begin in 2017.
