CALGARY, Canada – Construction of a wellhead platform and pipeline infrastructure for the liquids-rich BD field offshore Indonesia is around 45% complete, says operator Husky Energy.
The company has commissioned anewbuild FPSO to process the field’s gas and liquids production, and has procured a drilling rig.
It anticipates start-up in 2017.
Husky adds that a tendering process is under way for a floating production vessel and related engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract to develop the MDA-MBH fields in the Madura Strait.
They will likely be brought onstream in stages during 2017-2019, with the MDK field likely tied in during the same timeframe following approval for a development plan.
Recently, Husky adds, a 3D seismic program was completed over its Anugerah block offshore East Java. It is evaluating the results to assess future exploration activity.
Offshore Newfoundland, the company expects to bring online the second production well at its South White Rose satellite extension in the Jeanne d’Arc basin later this summer.
Production will head via subsea facilities to theSeaRose FPSO vessel for processing.
On completion of this well, the rig will move to complete drilling of a Hibernia formation well beneath the North Amethyst field. That well is expected to start up during 4Q.
Husky continues to assess potential development options for the West White Rose satellite extension. It has received government and regulatory approvals for one of two concepts under study, a fixed wellhead platform – the other is a subsea option.
TheSeaRose FPSO vessel is set for an 18-day turnaround campaign next month.
