WINDSOR, UK –Centrica Energy plans to start work on a £16-million ($24.9-million) offshore the UK gas production project at Morecambe Bay.
The project involves installing new equipment on the existing North Morecambe platform to use the high pressure of the nearbyRhyl field to boost the pressure and production from the North Morecambe wells.
Centrica said that while the North Morecambe platform is normally unmanned, the teams will be working from the jackup bargeSeajacksKraken scheduled to arrive in Morecambe Bay later this month.
