READING, UK – BG says the Petrobras-led BM-S-11 consortium has submitted initial field development plans for the Atapú, Sururu, and Berbigão areas in the deepwater Santos basin offshore Brazil.
All are within the wider Iara area. The minimum requirement is for two “replicant” (standardized) FPSOs on Atapú, due onstream in 2018, and one for Berbigão/Sururu, to come onstream in 2019.
First production from Sururu will be via wells to the FPSO on the Berbigão field, although plans may change as operational data comes through from the first FPSOs.
The consortium continues to monitor developments for construction of all the replicant FPSOs, BG adds, including the potential impact of theLava Jato (Car Wash) investigation. Re-contracting of compression topsides continues following the termination of the contract with IESA.
In July, BG’s production from the Santos basin reached a new high of 159,000 boe/d.
Gross production fromCidade de Ilhabela (FPSO 4) has averaged around 88,000 b/d from three producer wells and one injector well, while Cidade de Mangaratiba (FPSO 5) has averaged around 130,000 b/d from four producers and three injectors.
Production is expected to continue to rise in both cases as more wells are connected this year.
The first replicant FPSO,P-66, continues to undergo integration works at BrasFELS. The 150,000-b/d Cidade de Itaguaí (FPSO 6) for Iracema North is moored on location, with well connection under way. BG says the operator expects start-up later in the current quarter.
FPSO 7 is in the Brasa shipyard undergoing final integration works. FPSO 8 is completing its current integration phase in China and is due to sail away in the next few weeks, while FPSO 9 integration works continue in Singapore. All three floaters should enter service in 2016.
