BP lengthens EnerMech Caspian crane deal

BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) has extended EnerMech’s five-year cranes/lifting contract by a further year, lifting the total value to $60 million.

ABERDEEN, UK – BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) has extended EnerMech’s five-year cranes/lifting contract by a further year, lifting the total value to $60 million.

The contractor is providing provide operations of cranes, maintenance personnel, materials, equipment, engineering and mechanical handling services for all seven BP-operated platforms in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.

Additionally it is managing 16 offshore pedestal cranes operating on the Chirag,West Chirag, Central Azeri, West Azeri, East Azeri, and deepwater Gunashli platforms, as well as the Shah Deniz gas development project.

EnerMech has trained more than 40 Azeri nationals in crane operations and employs more than 60 local personnel on the BP contract.
