Offshore staff
HOUSTON – The offshore US drilling rig count remained consistent at 29. The Baker Hughes count has noted that this is down 31 from the same period a year ago.
The total rig count continued its decline, down by 10 to 875. Oil rigs were down 13, but gas rigs were up by 3. The total at the same time a year ago was 1,866.
The Canadian rig count is up 26 from the prior week to 98, but is down 100 from the same time a year ago.
