Statoil secures life extension for Oseberg C in North Sea

Statoil has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to extend use of Oseberg C and associated pipelines through March 2031.

OSLO, Norway – Statoil has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway to extend use of Oseberg C and associated pipelines through March 2031.
Oseberg C is an integrated production, drilling, and accommodation facility in the northern Norwegian North Sea, in around 100 m (328 ft) of water.
Lundin Norway has PSA’s consent to use the drilling rigMaersk Guardian to permanently plug subsea well 7/8-5 S. The task is expected to take around 18 days to complete.
