TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Co. (IOEC) says laying pipelines for phases 20 and 21 of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf is close to completing the shore pull phase.
Director of pipeline projects Motalleb Afshari told news service Shana that pipelaying for the two phases should be completed in early December.
Two parallel 100-km (62-mi), 32-in. pipelines will transport gas to the Iranian shore. To date eight of the 11 planned wells have been drilled, he added.
In another Shana report, Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) managing director Mehdi Yousef said development of all remaining phases of South Pars should be finished by March 2018.
A total of 29 phases are under development – currently the field is producing 450 MMcm/d of gas. Total reserves are estimated at 14 tcm of gas and 18 Bbbl of condensates.
