Offshore staff
MUMBAI, India – ONGC has commissioned L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd. to build new facilities for the Bassein field development offshore western India.
Scope of the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract includes a new platform providing gas processing and compression; a nine-slot wellhead platform; a new living quarter platform; topsides modifications on existing platforms; and associated subsea pipelines.
All work is due to be completed by the end of 2016.
ONGC needs the facilities to extend the field life and increase recovery of the Bassein field. It is targeting cumulative production through 2027-2028 of 19.56 bcm of gas, 1.97 MMcm of condensate, and 1.83 million metric tons of oil.
