LONDON – Premier Oil has issued an update on its various offshore development programs.
West of Shetland in the UK far north, commissioning and hookup continues of the Solan field facilities. Hookup of the first two wells was completed in March and productivity has been strong in recent weeks due to the improved weather, using theVictory flotel.
Drilling of the second pair of wells should start soon. Premier anticipates first oil later this year, building to a plateau of 20-25,000 b/d.
Development drilling on the Catcher project in the UK central North Sea should begin in July, with the project on schedule for first oil in 2017.
Premier is currently pursuing lower-cost solutions with its supply chain for its plannedVette and Sea Lion projects offshore Norway and the Falkland Islands (both based around FPSOs). In both cases it expects to sanction decisions in 2016.
This summer the company expects to spud a potential play-opening well on the Myrhauk structure on the Mandal High offshore Norway.
Offshore Indonesia, Premier’s Anoa Deep appraisal well was spudded on April 21. This is designed to test the extension of the Lama reservoir to the west of the 2012 Anoa Deep discovery.
