NORTH SYDNEY, Australia – The Pateke-4H subsea tieback and installation project has started in the Tui area 50 km (31 mi) off the coast of Taranaki, New Zealand, using the Skandi Singaporesubsea support vessel.
Operator of PMP 38158, AWE Ltd. (ASX:AWE) said the project involves installing and commissioning of subsea pipelines, manifolds, and ancillary support equipment in water depths of about 124 m (406 ft), to connect thePateke-4H development well to the Tui field gathering system.
The subsea tieback and installation project will coincide with a two week planned shutdown of the FPSOUmuroa for inspection and maintenance.
First production fromPateke-4H is expected in April. Operation partners are Pan Pacific Petroleum (via subsidiaries) 15%, AWE Ltd. (via subsidiaries) 57.5%, and New Zealand Oil & Gas (via subsidiaries) 27.5%.
