PERTH, Australia – Woodside has contracted Wood Group Kenny (WGK) for front-end engineering and design (FEED) of the flowline system for the proposed Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) development for the North West Shelf (NWS) project offshore Western Australia.
Scope of work includes engineering and procurement support services for a 16-in. GWF-2 corrosion resistant alloy rigid flowline system, flowline end termination structures, inline tee assembly structures, mid-connection structure, and subsea tie-in spools.
The main goal of the FEED is to develop the flowline system for a final investment decision planned for the second half of 2015.
GWF-2 represents the next phase of gas supply to the existing NWS Project infrastructure after the Persephone development. GWF-2 will develop the hydrocarbon resources of the Keast, Dockrell, Sculptor, Rankin, Lady Nora, and Pemberton fields.
