LONDON – Premier Oil says three development wells have been completed from the new Pelikan wellhead platform in the Natuna Sea block A offshore Indonesia.

The field is expected to enter production next month. Last November the company produced first gas from another new wellhead platform on the block, on theNaga field.

Elsewhere on the block, the 2012 Anoa Deep gas discovery well will likely be tied into theAnoa production facilities this year to support GSA1 system gas deliveries.

Premier adds that front-end engineering and design is progressing for the Bison and Iguana projects as single-well subsea tiebacks to Pelikan, and concept selection is under way for the Gajah Puteri field.

Last year the company drilled three exploration wells on its offshore Tuna block. It next plans an appraisal of Anoa Deep in 2Q, to test the Lama play.

Offshore Vietnam, Premier completed modifications to theChim Sáo FPSO last year to improve production deliverability and operating efficiency. They included upgrades to the boilers and gas compressors and installation of an additional diesel generator to improve power generation reliability.

As a result, operating efficiency from theChim Sáo facility increased to 88%, up 14% from 2013, with production reaching record levels.
