Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway is investigating a hydrocarbon leak reported earlier this week on the Statoil-operated Gudrun field in the North Sea.

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) Norway is investigating a hydrocarbon leak reported earlier this week on the Statoil-operated Gudrun field in the North Sea.
Production has been shut down and the complex depressurized. The size of the leak is not currently known.
At the time of the incident there were 26 persons on board the Gudrun platform, and 97 on board the nearby semisubmersible drilling rigWest Epsilon.
PSA will seek to clarify the chain of events and identify underlying causes.
